Ali Said was born in Poland at Janow Podlaski Stud in 1940. Many of his offsprings were exported to the United States, including; Chimena (1956), Mimika (1956), Szarza (1956) and Algorina (1957).
Ali Said's daughter Szarza is worthy a special mention. She was bought by F. Mari and exported to the U.S.A. in 1960. Szarza gave birth to the grey stallion Amerigo (US National Stallion Reserve Champion in 1967) who in his turn sired the famous Khemosabi (1967). Khemosabi was a show-ring superstar, winning US National Championships in both Stallion Halter (1973) and Western Pleasure (1976). He won the same two top awards in Canada in 1976, the only stallion to date ever to win both a halter and a performance national championship in the same year (and, further, at the same national show).
Ali Said sired the stallion Emir Said (1952) who performed as a circus stallion in Switzerland for many years before being sold to Sweden in 1972.
