Padron, bred by Dr. and Mrs. J.M.M. Blaauwhof, was born in a Dutch stable near Kerkdriel in 1977. Born with a distinctive crooked blaze down his dished face, the colt's two opposing white socks and a sassy straw-colored mane accented his powerful body and strong legs. But he had something more. Padron had that magic "something", that charisma that reaches out and embraces an audience. The judges thought so too... At the tender age of three months, he was named Dutch Junior National Champion, and then won three other junior championships in Holland.

Such a horse is seldom a secret... Soon, Padron was on his way to the United States, imported on February 11, 1978. Padron was shown to many major wins: champion stallion at the Cow Palace, Region III Champion Stallion, Minnesota All-Arabian Supreme Champion Stallion (1982), Canadian National Champion Stallion (1981), and the 1982 US National Champion Stallion title.

In early 1983, Padron was bought by Lasma Arabians (the LaCroix family). That same year in October, Padron Associates acquired the stallion. Shortly thereafter, Padron was syndicated for $11 million.

Patron was the sire of Padron, and himself a champion. Patron was three times National Champion Stallion of Holland. He had sired the top stallions Puschkin, Patronne, Patent and El Kasaka before an untimely death cut short his career.

Odessa was the dame of Padron. Her sire, Bright Wings, was the 1966 British Reserve Junior Champion Stallion, and her dam, Serinda, was the 1969 British National Champion Foal. Odessa carried lines through her sire (Bright Wings) and/or her dam (Serinda) that brought the breed such good horses as Pietuszok, Topol, Naseem, Silver Drift, Blue Domino, Oran Van Crabbet, Indraff and Serafix.

Padron's ability as a sire was predicted by his strong pedigree. Padron has sired 50 North American national winners, 12 international champions, and more than 180 show ring champions from 770 registered purebred foals. Some have multiple titles in both halter and performance (particularly in the Western divisions), and many bear his flaming red-gold color. Some of Padron's national titleists include: PR Padrons Jewel - 1988 U.S. National Champion Futurity Filly; Padron Perfection - 1988 Canadian National Western Pleasure Junior Horse Reserve Champion; Padruska - 1988 U.S. National Western Pleasure Reserve Champion; Sassy Padron - 1988 U.S. and Canadian National Reserve Champion Futurity Filly; Padrons Chantille - 1990 U.S. National Western Pleasure Reserve Champion; Padrons Love - 1989 Canadian National Western Pleasure Junior Horse Reserve Champion and U.S. Reserve Champion; Padrons Esperanza - 1991 Canadian National Western Pleasure Junior Horse Reserve Champion; Padrenta - 1990 U.S. National Reserve Champion Futurity Filly; GLF Kassanova - 1991 Canadian National Reserve Champion Futurity Colt; Padrons Psyche - 1991 U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion.

Through 1977, 15 sons and 16 daughters of Padron have sired or produced 54 national winners, some with several titles. A few had even found success on the race track.

In Sweden, we now find the Padron heritage through the following grand and great grand get; His great grandson CE Magnum (2000, by Magnum Psyche x RA Cool Elygance - Jocool) who was on lease to Oppreva Araber in 2003. CE Magnum bred 31 mares in Sweden, which is quite a number! CE Magnum is Reserve World Champion Colt (Paris) and European Reserve Champion (Italy) and National Champion of Belgium. Another great grandson, El Amin (2001. by Psytadel x RA Cool Elygance - Jocool), is on lease to Oppreva Araber in 2005 and got 41 points on exterior at breeding evaluation at Grevagården in March 2005.
